International Climbathon 3rd - 4th October 2014
This is a good adventure series. Mountain runners from around the world come here for this great event – Mount Kinabalu international climbathon. There are two routes to choose from. Option 1: 23 km run starts from Kinabalu Park to the summit trail of Layang, down to Mesilau and ending at Kundasang township. Option 2: Start at Kinabalu Park, go all the way to the summit and finish at Kundasang. Casual climbers might take a day to scale the mountain. In contrast professional runners can finish up in as little as 4 hours. If you feel up to it get into the excitement and register for a run. This annual international climbathon will be held on October 18-19th 2014.

Most travellers to Malaysia would have visited the Orangutan rehabilitation centre in Sepilok. Visitors can come in close contact with these amazing animals. This is a successful and exciting conservation program where captured orang-utans are trained to fend for themselves before being released into the wild.
