DAY 04:YALA NATIONAL PARK

Overview After an early breakfast proceed to the central highlands of Sri Lanka where the climate is cooler and the scenery breathtaking. You will visit a tea factory and a tea plantation and rest for the day. Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places in the island, much similar to an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. You will see evidence of British influence around this town. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Anne style mansions.
Overview After breakfast proceed to Kandy the last kingdom that fell under colonial rule. This is an historic town, home to the sacred temple of the tooth relic of the buddha.
